Ainsley's Saracens move off for 'personal reasons'
"“I feel privileged to re-sign with my boyhood club,” he told the club website. “I've learned a lot during my time here and I'm excited to keep developing, playing a part in the team's success going forward, and continuing to work with a great group in north London.”"
Jermaine Ainsley’s planned move to Saracens has been canceled, and he will return to the Southern Hemisphere for personal reasons after his Lyon contract is terminated. The 30-year-old was expected to join the north London club ahead of the 2026-27 season, but Saracens confirmed he will no longer be signing. Ainsley was born in New Zealand and earned three caps for Australia. He has played for Perth Spirit, Force, Rebels, and Melbourne Rising in Australia, and for Otago and Highlanders in New Zealand. Saracens also announced that prop Harvey Beaton has signed a new deal with the club, making 23 appearances including six this season.
