Man dies after car and cyclist crash in Greenwich

A fatal accident occurred in Greenwich when a car collided with a cyclist around 4:07 PM. Emergency services arrived to find two individuals affected by the incident. One was transported to the hospital while the other was unfortunately pronounced dead on the scene. In response to the incident, Creek Road has been closed, causing significant traffic disruptions and diversions for local bus routes 188 and 199. The London Ambulance Service highlighted their efforts to assist those involved despite the tragic outcome.
We were called today (Mon 30) at 4.07pm to reports of a car in collision with a cyclist in Creek Road, SE8. We sent resources including ambulance crews, incident response officers and advanced paramedic practitioners.
Sadly, despite our best efforts, a second man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Creek Road is closed between Deptford and Greenwich today (June 30) after the crash at 4.07pm.
Both the 188 and 199 bus services are being diverted from the area.
