The Macbeth is being relaunched by Jamie Allan and Patrick Nolan, who aim to maintain its rich history while updating its ambiance and offerings. The pub has been a staple in Hoxton for over a century, hosting famous musicians and overcoming various challenges. The new management plans to restore original features like a 19th century tiled mural and an oak bar. Inspired by Portuguese tascas, the revamped pub will serve drinks late and food until 11pm, with a menu featuring dishes such as morcela fina and chicken samosas. The opening is set for August 2025.
The Macbeth has also played host to the likes of Florence + The Machine, Franz Ferdinand, The xx, Pete Doherty and Fontaines DC, showcasing its significant cultural history.
