More than 1,000 chefs, restaurateurs, managers, and staff gathered for the Irish Restaurant Awards 2026 to celebrate excellence across Ireland’s hospitality sector. Delgany’s Wine Cottage emerged as Garden County’s sole victor, winning Best Wine Experience at the Leinster stage earlier in the year and progressing to national level for the final title. The venue is a boutique wine store and tasting space housed in a cottage between Delgany and Greystones, offering an intimate setting and a curated wine selection. While Wicklow had limited national recognition at the ceremony on May 18, the county was widely represented earlier in the competition. Greystones’ Caladh won Best Restaurant in Wicklow, Sika Restaurant at Powerscourt Hotel was recognized through chef Cormac McCreary, and Chakra by Jaipur won Best World Cuisine for Wicklow.
