Ministry of Sound has transformed its VIP room into the No Velvet Rope Society, emphasizing a community-driven atmosphere for music fans. The refurbished space, costing half a million pounds, features a new mezzanine with a high-spec sound system that enhances the experience. Founding memberships are available for £150 a year, offering various perks. The initiative marks a shift away from traditional VIP culture towards a more inclusive approach, enabling closer connections between guests and artists in a vibrant, immersive setting.
This VIP refurb has been a dream of mine since I joined Ministry of Sound 10 years ago. From the start, I knew that opening up this space to the Box would be a total game changer - not just for our guests, but for the artists too. It's been a real passion project, and we've poured everything into creating something that feels bold, immersive, and electric.
No Velvet Rope Society is a mindset. It's Ministry of Sound's answer to a stale VIP culture: a half a million pound reinvention that ditches hierarchy and focuses on building a community of culture seekers wanting more connected music experiences.
