Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 75, with his family by his side. Born on December 3, 1948, in Birmingham, England, he was the lead singer of Black Sabbath, a pioneering heavy metal band. Osbourne launched a successful solo career after a fallout with the band, releasing 13 studio albums from 1980 to 2022. His health deteriorated after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019. His final concert, held earlier in July 2025, attracted 40,000 attendees and raised significant funds for charity.
"If I can't continue doing shows on a regular basis, I just want to be well enough to do one show where I can say, 'Hi guys, thanks so much for my life,'" Osbourne told Rolling Stone in 2023. "That's what I'm working towards, and if I drop down dead at the end of it, I'll die a happy man."
"It's so good to be on this stage. You have no idea," he said during the event, prompting the crowd to chant his name.
