RIP Magic sign to Partisan sister label section1, share "Skrewdark"
"With haunting orchestra stab samples and layers of percussion, 'Skrewdark' sounds like the midway point between the early-'90s Manchester baggy scene and what was going on in Bristol at the time."
"RIP Magic opened for a few of LCD Soundsystem's Knockdown Center shows in December and are currently on tour across the UK and Europe."
RIP Magic, a UK group led by Marco Pini, released the single 'Skrewdark' under Partisan Records' sister label section1. The track features haunting orchestral samples and layered percussion, blending influences from the early-'90s Manchester baggy scene and Bristol's music scene, reminiscent of Andrew Weatherall's work. The group previously released the James Murphy-produced 12" '5words' and opened for LCD Soundsystem in December. They are currently on tour across the UK and Europe.
