Two Shell: IIcons
Briefly

Two Shell's music exemplifies the use of ambiguity to engage listeners repeatedly, producing tracks that are both aggressive and abstract. The song "Doom Culture" features intense synths and basslines while leaning towards a punk aesthetic. "⋆₊˚vision✧‧⁺˖⋆." presents a garage sound that teeters towards chaos, whereas "Dark Shadow" offers a mix of menace and humor with its playful undertones. While some tracks on IIcons fall into predictability, the duo’s unique production techniques continue to chart new territory in underground dance music.
Ambiguity is Two Shell's secret weapon, because it makes you go back, over and over, to figure out what the hell they're actually doing.
The staggering "Dark Shadow" sounds both brooding and cartoonish, invoking dubstep's dentist-drill basslines with equal parts menace and humor.
Lucky for us, Two Shell remain absolutely sick producers. It often feels like they dreamed up new rare-earth elements and tried to map them in sound.
IIcons also shows us that for all their iconoclasm, Two Shell are heading down a more predictable path in certain tracks.
