A first look at Greenwich Park's new resident deer
Briefly

Greenwich Park's rangers have successfully introduced a new herd of fallow and red deer, marking their return after a four-year hiatus. The previous herd was moved in 2021 due to renovation works, prompting habitat improvements that have expanded the paddock and provided new access to woods. Park Manager Claire Lanes reported that the deer are settling in well, though visitors might find them less visible during their acclimatization period as they adjust to their fresh surroundings.
The deer have been back for one month now and are settling in really well. They are keeping to themselves as they get used to their new environment which is why they might be harder to spot for the first few months.
Since 2021 the paddock habitat has undergone improvements, including expanding the size and adding access to the nearby woodland for the new arrivals.
