Residents of a London multistorey development received £550,000 in compensation for hazardous cladding defects linked to safety risks exposed after the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017. Notting Hill Genesis and contractor United Living undertook significant costs to rectify the problems identified in the residential buildings of the Exchange development. The settlement aims to protect residents from financial burdens of repairs, as many were facing exorbitant bills. Community member Kyle Taylor expressed relief and frustration over delayed action and emphasized the challenges faced by diverse residents living in unsafe conditions.
