Wai and Yuen were found guilty of assisting a foreign intelligence service, with Wai also convicted of misconduct in public office. Yuen was accused of giving targets to surveil, while Wai gathered intelligence on orders from Yuen, a senior HKETO manager in London. Trickett, a third accused, died in custody after attempting suicide.
