Annabel Rook, 46, was fatally stabbed by her partner Clifton George during a confrontation at their home in June 2025. The couple's relationship had deteriorated, leading to Rook asking George to leave. George admitted to manslaughter but denied murder. He allegedly punched, strangled, and then stabbed Rook at least 22 times. After the attack, he attempted to ignite gas, resulting in a significant explosion that caused extensive damage to their home and neighboring properties.
