Menu revealed for Asian restaurant opening in site of former Italian restaurant
Briefly

HUO is preparing to launch a restaurant in Belsize Village, taking over the site previously occupied by Caldesi. Founders Graham Rebak and Adam Wilkie aim to replicate the success of their Chelsea branch, offering a menu inspired by traditional Chinese and Southeast Asian cuisine. The Belsize restaurant, set to open in July, will focus on healthy and fresh ingredients, with dishes ideal for sharing. The transformation of the space is being designed by Jonathan Clark Architects to create a comfortable environment that complements HUO's clean culinary concept.
The duo are "looking forward" to bringing their food to NW3 in July promising it will stay true to the original concept, alongside sister restaurants ULI.
Head chef Yam Gurung has chosen dishes with an emphasis on fresh and healthy ingredients, cooked from scratch using traditional recipes from China, Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
Dishes include Thai lobster crackers, handmade dim sum, and seafood options like Thai sea bass fillet steamed with chilli and lemongrass.
Jonathan Clark Architects are overhauling the space, aiming for a spacious yet comfortable feel that aligns with HUO's clean, healthy menu.
