A trip to LAX without a car? Metro opens long-awaited LAX station
Briefly

The LAX/Metro Transit Center opened on Friday, providing a vital link between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the city's transit system. Until the automated people mover train becomes operational next year, free shuttle buses will ferry passengers every ten minutes along a 2.5-mile route. The center includes a bus plaza and bike hub, highlighting efforts to enhance public transportation. The opening is part of a larger initiative to integrate LAX with the Metro system, addressing long-standing gaps in airport connectivity and enhancing transport options for travelers throughout Los Angeles.
When the people mover finally opens, then we will have an international airport that will connect people from literally inside the terminals to the world and beyond through Metro.
The transit center was budgeted at $900 million and includes a 16-bay bus plaza with electric bus infrastructure, a bicycle hub and a pickup and drop-off area.
