Ohtani went 4-for-4 earlier, hitting two doubles and two home runs, including a tying blast in the seventh. Manager John Schneider shifted to intentionally walking Ohtani after a failed attempt to pitch around him in a one-run game and cited a lack of execution by reliever Seranthony Dominguez. Schneider indicated the team would continue the strategy. Toronto's bullpen pitched well around traffic, but Freddie Freeman hit a walk-off homer in the 18th to win 6-5.
