Lacma will plant towering Jeff Koons floral sculpture outside new building
Briefly

LACMA is set to enhance its campus with Jeff Koons's 'Split-Rocker' sculpture, measuring 37ft tall, which will be installed as part of the museum's $715M David Geffen Galleries project. Donated by Lynda and Stewart Resnick, the sculpture combines aesthetics and horticulture with over 50,000 flowering plants, showcasing Koons's trademark playful artistry. With a rich exhibition history across renowned venues, the piece reflects the unique botanical possibilities of Los Angeles's climate and aims to bring joy to the community and visitors alike adjacent to Wilshire Boulevard.
I couldn't be more thrilled than to have a piece of floral work in Los Angeles where-horticulturally-there's such a wide variety of plants that can be used in its creation.
Jeff is a master of bringing bold playfulness together with layers of deeper artistic meaning.
