Letters to Sports: Folks are singing the Dodger blues
Briefly

The Dodgers are enduring a disappointing season primarily due to ineffective management and player performance. Closer Tanner Scott’s signing is criticized as one of the worst in team history, exacerbated by his inability to secure saves and maintain a low ERA. Manager Dave Roberts faces scrutiny for his pitching decisions and lineup strategies. The team's struggles are evident in their recent poor performance against stronger teams, raising questions about player roles, especially regarding Mookie Betts' transition to shortstop and the impact on his productivity.
The signing of closer Tanner Scott will go down as the worst in Dodgers history. Scott has already blown six saves, has two losses and has an ERA creeping up to 4.00.
Roberts is too prone to cede games when his team falls behind by allowing clearly ineffective pitchers to stay on the mound.
With their prodigious talent, the Dodgers should not be swept in a series. And they certainly shouldn't be outscored 29-6 over three games.
His offensive production is way off since he switched to the more physically demanding position of shortstop. Why not move Mookie back to right field?
