""We've had brothers before, but never three and all starting," Kennedy coach Troy Cassidy said."
""The Chargers are opening up SoFi Stadium on Thursday at 6 p.m. for Palisades to play Fairfax in support of communities hurt by the fires. Charger players will serve as captains and all ticket proceeds will go to the Palisades football program.- eric sondheimer (@latsondheimer) October 27, 2025""
""I think how cool it would have been," he said. "We're all best friends now.""
Jaycoby (freshman), Jayvon (senior) and Jayden Carter (sophomore) are all starters for Granada Hills Kennedy's football team. The team won the Valley Mission League championship. Jaycoby starts at cornerback, Jayvon at outside linebacker and Jayden at receiver. All three measure about 6-foot-2, with Jaycoby expected to outgrow his brothers. Kennedy coach Troy Cassidy noted the program has had brothers before but never three starting simultaneously. Cassidy has three sons who played baseball and remain close despite age gaps. SoFi Stadium will host a Palisades vs Fairfax charity game with Charger players as captains and ticket proceeds benefiting Palisades football and fire-affected communities.
