The worst heat wave to hit Southern California in March is finally coming to an end
""We broke so many records," said National Weather Service meteorologist Bryan Lewis. "It's not normal for this kind of year to have this kind of heat, where it's 20 to 30 degrees above normal. It'll remain hot next week too.""
""Heat exhaustion and dehydration could result from the heat wave, especially during this time of year, when the temperatures are normally around 70 degrees," according to Lewis."
Southern California experienced a record-breaking heat wave, with temperatures reaching 102 degrees in Woodland Hills and surpassing previous records in multiple locations. The heat wave is expected to cool down this weekend, with temperatures dropping to the upper 70s and low 80s along the coast and low 90s inland. Meteorologist Bryan Lewis noted that temperatures were 20 to 30 degrees above normal for this time of year. Heat advisories are set to expire, but there may be more advisories next week due to ongoing heat concerns.
