Walt Weiss was hired as the Atlanta Braves' manager, succeeding Brian Snitker. Weiss served as the Braves' bench coach since 2018 and was on Snitker's staff when the team won the World Series in 2021. Weiss previously managed four major league seasons with the Colorado Rockies from 2013 to 2016. Weiss finished his playing career as a shortstop with Atlanta from 1998 to 2000. Brian Snitker announced in early October that he would not be returning for an 11th year with the club.
