Last offseason, that amounted to the Miami Marlins hiring Clayton McCullough as their new manager. With several managerial openings arising this year, Dodgers bench coach Danny Lehmann has been the subject of reported interest."
"Lehmann was previously reported as being in the running for the open position with the Washington Nationals, but they ultimately elected to hire Blake Butera. It's not clear if Lehmann garnered an interview with the Nationals. Lemann's name also surfaced last offseason when the Chicago White Sox were in search of a new manager before hiring Will Venable. The Braves are in need of a new manager for the first time in 10 seasons."

Lehmann's promotion comes after spending four overall seasons (2018, 2020-2023) as the Dodgers' game planning and communications coach. In 2019 he was a special assistant to the club."

Lehmann has served as advanced video scout, game planning and communications coach, and was promoted to bench coach in 2023.
