October 27: The Orioles officially announced Craig Albernaz as the club's new manager and will introduce him at a November 4 press conference. The Orioles' general manager praised Albernaz's experience and said he can elevate baseball operations and guide the team back to the playoffs and a World Series. Albernaz said he is honored and grateful for the opportunity. Reports on October 26 indicated Albernaz was in final negotiations and had been the frontrunner. Albernaz, soon to turn 43, served as Guardians associate manager this year after a 2024 bench coach role, previously coached with the Giants and managed in the Rays' minor leagues.
