World Series open thread: Game 4
"After nearly seven hours of baseball, our old friend Freddie Freeman wrote another chapter in his World Series lore - he now has two walk-off homers in the World Series and he is now the only player in the history of the Fall Classic to make that claim and he's one of only a handful of players to have hit two walk-off homers in the Postseason altogether."
"They'll have to find a way to deal with Shohei Ohtani, who reached base nine (9!!!) times last night and will be the starting pitcher for the Dodgers tonight. We all saw what happened the last time he started a game as a pitcher so at this point, the Blue Jays would be happy if he just looked normal (either at the plate or on the mound) instead of continuing to play at the ridiculous level that he's set so far."
Game 3 lasted nearly seven hours and ended with Freddie Freeman delivering a walk-off home run. Freeman now has two World Series walk-off homers, making him the only player in Fall Classic history with that distinction and among a small group with two postseason walk-off homers overall. The Blue Jays must recover quickly and prepare to face Shohei Ohtani, who reached base nine times in the previous game and will start on the mound for the Dodgers tonight. The Blue Jays hope Ohtani performs more ordinarily at the plate or on the mound instead of continuing his extraordinary recent play. The upcoming game outcome remains uncertain.
