Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking unit with the signing of Brazilian striker Vitor Roque. The 20-year-old has done quite well for Palmeiras, scoring 17 goals this season. He could prove to be an excellent long-term investment for Manchester United if they manage to get the deal done. They could use more cutting-edge in the final third, and the Brazilian would be a solid acquisition.
We're only a week or so away from when I was thinking the manager was under pressure, by the way, so we've got to be really careful here, Gary Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast. We could be there again in a couple of weeks, it's that type of season, that type of feeling. That's never happened with Amorim Gary Neville
The Red Devils could do with strengthening in midfield at the moment, and it seems one name on their list is Andrey Santos from their big six rivals Chelsea. That's according to a report from Football Insider, though it's not considered likely that Chelsea will sell a prospect like Santos to someone like Man Utd. The Brazilian is highly regarded after an impressive loan spell at Strasbourg, and one imagines Chelsea will be keen to make more use of him soon.
Freed by Napoli's front-foot approach and the abundance of service from creative midfielders and wide men, the Dane has shown form that made Man United sign him in the first place. The goals have arrived in varied fashion, first-time finishes, surges in transition, and decisive touches in crowded areas, showing that he has managed to rediscover his form and confidence.
We need to go to Europe because of everything. Our club needs to be in Europe, it's hard to have a very, very good squad. Imagine for me to have Kobbie Mainoo with that [many] minutes that he's playing, he needs more games for me to make a rotation because, with one game [a week], it's really hard.
[I enjoyed playing] anywhere really, anywhere across the midfield or forward line. I was at my best when just going to play and I'd pop up on the left or the right and I'd pop up behind midfielders at times. Just playing, being on the pitch in the attacking third, that was what I liked and enjoyed -- if you wanted one position, then probably the No. 10.
Manchester United have asked for more details from West Ham regarding Lucas Paqueta transfer valuation. We understand Man United are very keen to make the deal in January at fair market valuation. Vasco da Gama attacker Rayan continues to be linked with a move away from the Brazilian club, and several Premier League clubs are monitoring his situation. Rayan has been linked with Tottenham and Arsenal recently. According to a report from Bolavip, Manchester United are not following the 19-year-old attacker, and they could look to make a move for him in future. Newcastle are keen on the Brazilian as well.
Manchester United won the Premier League in 2008-09 and 2010-11, two of Sir Alex Ferguson's last three titles. Ferguson won 13 league titles in all during his time in charge of Man United and led generations of elite players through the most dominant period of the club's history. There were a handful of players who were a little bit different, who played with an extra twinkle in the eye, and two-time title winner Dimitar Berbatov was certainly one of those.
I would be very surprised if Chelsea would even consider letting Andrey Santos go, especially to a Premier League rival in Man United. He's a top young player, he's very highly regarded within the corridors of power at Stamford Bridge. He had a very good season on loan at Strasbourg and has come back into the Chelsea side this season.
For the first time ever, Nike and British skate brand Palace have teamed up; the resulting collaborative effort, dubbed the P90 collection - a spin on T90, Nike's early-aughts footy silhouette that's become something of a cult icon among soccer fans old enough to remember a time before VAR, or Messi, for that matter - is about as YTK-tinged as a gloved-up Thierry Henry.
Of course ... when you play up front, [you have] to score goals. I have [to have] more contributions. But the last time I said this, if my participation is to help the team and then we start doing [well], I'll be happy also. But of course with this goal, everyone will be around me to push me. The guys started to joke and then said, 'wow, you can score!'. These things happen and everyone pushes me and I feel so happy to be here.
