He grabbed her left hand, particularly the ring finger. She pushed him away. He then grabbed her shoulder. The defendant felt the woman's breasts over her clothes before moving his head down to her crotch area, again over the clothing."
"On March 6, a patient, aged 69 at the time, was returning to her room having gone outside for a cigarette. An unknown male put his hand on her shoulder. However, he rubbed her chest before moving his hand down between her legs and rubbing there, also outside the clothing. The woman was frightened."
Mihai Csiki, an in-patient at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, committed sexual assaults against two patients and a staff member over two days in March 2022. He pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault, with two other charges considered. After the incidents, he left Ireland but was arrested in Germany in April 2025 and extradited back to Ireland. The assaults involved inappropriate touching and crude gestures towards the victims, who were aged 61 and 69 at the time of the incidents.
