"From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging."
"On Monday, vets used a specialist mobile CT scan to investigate the cause of their discomfort. The patients included Luca, a four-year-old Amur tiger; Django, a ten-year-old mainland clouded leopard; and Mo, a four-year-old Southern African cheetah. Each of the cats was sedated in their enclosure by a vet from the International Zoo Veterinary Group before they were moved into the mobile centre."
Reporting covers a range of topics from reproductive rights and climate change to Big Tech, and investigative work such as examining political PAC finances and producing documentaries about American women fighting for reproductive rights. Donations enable continued deployment of journalists to gather facts on the ground and support reporting that remains accessible without paywalls, funded by those who can afford it. Three big cats at the Big Cat Sanctuary in Kent experienced persistent, unexplained mobility issues and underwent specialist mobile CT scans. The patients included Luca, Django and Mo, who were sedated in their enclosures and moved into the mobile unit. Ensuring the comfort and safety of the cats was treated as a top priority, and bringing the mobile CT unit allowed that goal to be achieved smoothly.
