Two boaters are rescued by helicopter after vessel overturns near Homestead

Early Friday morning, two boaters were rescued off Homestead after their vessel capsized. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue promptly responded to an emergency call and dispatched an air-rescue helicopter to the area, approximately three miles east of Bayfront Park. The crew successfully located the boaters near their overturned vessel and used a hoist basket for rescue. Fortunately, both individuals were unharmed and were brought back safely to Herbert Hoover Marina, highlighting the swift response of rescue teams in emergency situations.
Around 3:40 a.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to an emergency call about a boat that had people onboard and had overturned about three miles east of Homestead's Bayfront Park.
An air-rescue helicopter crew began searching for the stranded boaters and soon found them next to their small, overturned boat. Using a hoist basket, an air-rescue crew member was lowered into the water.
