Blue Owl Capital Acquires Florida Network Provider South Reach Networks
Briefly

Intermetro Fiber, operating as South Reach Networks (SRN), has been acquired by Blue Owl Capital's Digital Infrastructure fund. SRN offers dark and lit fiber infrastructure across a 370-mile network from Jacksonville to Miami, connecting to five SRN-owned colocation edge facilities. Scott Bergs, CEO of another Blue Owl portfolio company, has taken on the role of CEO at SRN. The acquisition is set to support plans to scale fiber services to meet the growing demand in Florida, contributing to statewide efforts to enhance telecommunications infrastructure.
"South Reach Networks has established itself as the premier communications infrastructure provider in Florida, delivering critical dark fiber, colocation, and related services to subsea cable providers and users, data centers, carriers, and other private network operators," Bergs said in a press release about the SRN/Blue Owl deal. This emphasizes the significance of SRN's services in the telecommunications sector.
"With Blue Owl, we will scale the business to meet the ever-growing need for more fiber from Jacksonville to Miami and beyond," highlighting the ambitious plans to expand fiber services throughout Florida.
