Kerry road crash victim is named
"The victim of Sunday's fatal road traffic collision that occurred just outside Tralee has been named as David Siegel (24) from Tralee. David was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 10am on Sunday as gardai and emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle incident involving a car on the N69 at Ballingowan (near the Ballygarry roundabout). Mr Siegel was driving the vehicle and was the sole occupant when the tragic incident happened."
"A former pupil of CBS The Green, David was a keen athlete during his school years. He won an All-Ireland silver in the Intermediate shot putt at the Irish Schools Track and Field Championships in 2018. A statement from An Garda Síochána said the local Coroner was notified of the accident and the deceased was taken to the mortuary at University Hospital Kerry (UHK), where a post-mortem examination was conducted."
