"Seriously, the implementation of the provocative idea of Kyiv and other idiots about creating a 'no-fly zone' over Ukraine, and the ability for NATO countries to shoot down our UAVs, will mean only one thing - a war between NATO and Russia."
"Technically, we, as NATO and the EU, would be capable of doing this, but it is not a decision that Poland can make alone, only together with its allies."
"Putin has possibly brought forward this idea because we manage our space together, and opinion is shifting towards this idea."
Poland is calling for NATO to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine so that NATO forces would shoot down Russian drones and missiles operating above Ukraine. Multiple Russian drones have breached Polish and Romanian airspace, prompting NATO fighter jets to scramble and resulting in three of 24 Russian drones being shot down after entering Poland. Moscow warned that NATO shooting down Russian UAVs in support of a no-fly zone could escalate into an all-out war between NATO and Russia. Russia also deployed Tu-22M3 long-range bombers over the Barents Sea as a warning.
