Vodafone expanded its Open RAN footprint since 2020, opening a test and integration lab in Newbury and partnering with Mavenir on small-cell indoor solutions. Vodafone aims for 30% of European masts on Open RAN by 2030 and is already deploying commercially, including 2,500 UK sites and deployments in Romania. Dell will supply PowerEdge XR8000 servers (XR8620t, XR8720t) with Intel Xeon 6 SoC to enable automated, zero-touch networks, higher fronthaul density, reduced operational complexity and lower total cost of ownership.
