A man attempted to kidnap a 6-year-old boy in Coney Island as the child trailed behind his parents. The suspect, dressed in black, grabbed the boy around 10 p.m., prompting the child to scream for his mother. The parents immediately pursued the man, who threw the boy to the ground to escape but was apprehended by police shortly after. The boy sustained minor injuries but was reported in stable condition at Coney Island Hospital.
