Gabi McComb, a notable Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with achievements in both gi and no-gi competitions, has shifted her focus to MMA. After receiving her second degree black belt from Andre Galvao, she felt it was the right moment to pursue MMA. McComb mentions that she had always harbored desires for MMA but waited until she accomplished her Jiu-Jitsu goals and matured as a person. With her world champion titles in hand, she now feels ready to embark on her MMA journey and wishes she had started competing sooner.
"I always had the desire for me to fight in MMA, but earlier, when I thought about that, I thought I was too young. And I was just in the middle of my Jiu-Jitsu career. So I just thought it was not the best moment yet for me to start MMA."
"I already got the main titles that I wanted in Jiu-Jitsu - become a world champion. It was like a personal goal that we have, and I got that done in gi and in no-gi."
