Raja Jackson Cuts Plea Deal in Pro Wrestling Assault
"Jackson, who launched the assault after Smith mistook him for another wrestler and engaged him physically, later apologizing, pleaded no contest to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury at a preliminary hearing on Wednesday. He's expected to face a sentence of 90 days actual county jail; restitution of $81,703.38; and two years formal probation, per the District Attorney's Office."
"Jackson had been at the event to work an angle, but after the early altercation with Smith, admitted to followers on live stream that he would take revenge - despite accepting Smith's apology and shaking his hand not long before the eventual assault."
"In September, Rampage Jackson revealed that he was no longer on speaking terms with his son. 'I don't talk to Raja no more,' Jackson told 'The Ariel Helwani Show' at the time. 'He dishonored my name,' Jackson added."
Raja Jackson, son of UFC fighter Rampage Jackson, attacked wrestler Syko Stu during a Knokx Pro Wrestling event in August 2025, landing over 20 punches on an unconscious opponent and causing serious facial injuries requiring hospitalization. The assault was live-streamed on KICK. Jackson had premeditated the attack after an earlier altercation with Stu, despite accepting an apology and shaking hands beforehand. He pleaded no contest to felony battery with serious bodily injury and faces 90 days county jail, $81,703.38 restitution, and two years probation. Some observers considered the sentence lenient given the severity of injuries. Rampage Jackson subsequently stated he no longer communicates with his son, citing dishonor to his name.
