Pokemon Go Fest 2025 culminates with two major events: Pokemon Go: Dark Skies from Aug. 18 to Aug. 24 and the Max Finale on Aug. 23 and 24. Dark Skies includes every Dynamax Pokemon in the game, while Max Finale features all Gigantamax options, with high-profile battles against Eternamax Eternatus and others. A new Go Pass: Max Finale begins on Aug. 18, offering enhanced Shiny capture rates and access to special encounters. Niantic will also increase active Power Spots and temporarily raise limits on Max Particle collection and daily remote raids.
Niantic announced the climax of the summerlong event, concluding with Pokemon Go: Dark Skies from Aug. 18, followed by Pokemon Go Fest 2025: Max Finale starting Aug. 23.
The Max Finale features every Gigantamax Pokemon and battles against Eternamax Eternatus, Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, from Aug. 23 to Aug. 24.
The Go Pass: Max Finale launching on Aug. 18 enhances trainers' chance to capture Shiny Dynamax Pokemon and unlocks encounters with Eternatus.
Niantic is increasing active Power Spots and raising the Max Particle collection limit, along with increasing the daily remote raid limit during the event.
