The Huawei Pura 80 is set to launch in China on July 23 as a late addition to the Pura 80 family. The phone is positioned for students with school starting in September. It features a Kirin 9010S chip and runs on HarmonyOS 5.1. The Huawei Pura 80 will be offered in four color options: Velvet Gold, Velvet Green, Velvet White, and Velvet Black. Huawei has yet to confirm pricing, but estimates suggest it could be similar to the Pura 70's starting price of CNY 5,500 ($765).
The Huawei Pura 80 is powered by the Kirin 9010S and not a Kirin 9020 like the Pura 80 Pro+ and Pura 80 Ultra.
Huawei seems to be positioning the Pura 80 as a phone for students, especially with school starting in early September.
The phone will launch with the brand new HarmonyOS 5.1 and will be available in four colors: Velvet Gold, Velvet Green, Velvet White and Velvet Black.
