The Afghan Whigs have released 'House of I,' their first original song in four years, produced and mixed by Greg Dulli and Christopher Thorn. The track was recorded in New Orleans last summer and is described as an up-tempo song. The release precedes the band's 40th anniversary tour beginning next month, featuring dates across North America with Mercury Rev as support. A new album, following their previous release How Do You Burn?, is scheduled for release later this year.
