Win Butler and Régine Chassagne of Arcade Fire have separated after a long marriage. They married in 2003 and will continue to love, admire and support each other as they co-parent their son, who was born in 2013. Arcade Fire formed in 2001 and is known for songs such as "The Suburbs" and "Wake Up". The separation follows sexual misconduct accusations against Butler in 2022 from four people alleging incidents between 2015 and 2022 when some accusers were aged 18–23. Butler denied wrongdoing and said he "had consensual relationships outside my marriage." Chassagne publicly expressed support and asserted his belief in his innocence.
