Arcadea's sophomore album, The Exodus of Gravity, will be released on August 22nd. Brann Dailor leads vocals, with the first single 'Fuzzy Planet' available for streaming. This track begins in a synth-pop style but transitions into an instrumental section featuring synth players Core Atoms and João Nogueira. Dailor's approach for this album emphasizes danceability and groove, diverging from the proggier style of their 2017 debut. The album was produced in Mastodon's practice facility with engineer Tom Tapley.
The Exodus of Gravity skews more toward danceable songs as opposed to the prog of Arcadea's 2017 self-titled debut. The object was to get a little more dancey and a little more fun.
Our lead character is recognizing that the spore has gotten in them and they're starting to change. They're awakening to all the beauty that's around.
