"After resurfacing with the nebulous "Tape 05" last month, Boards of Canada have shared the opening suite of their new album, Inferno. Comprising two songs in the vintage BoC tradition, "Introit" and "Prophecy at 1420 MHz" arrive with a new video that advances the staticky VHS aesthetic and cultish symbolism introduced in the album's monthlong teaser campaign."
"Inferno is Boards of Canada's first album in 13 years, following Tomorrow's Harvest. Since then, the brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin have trickled out occasional remixes and archival reissues, as well as an NTS DJ mix. The duo has announced seven album premiere parties on May 22-dubbed the Inferno Sessions-in Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, Glasgow, New York, and Los Angeles."

The two-track premiere includes "Introit" and "Prophecy at 1420 MHz," accompanied by a Robert Beatty-directed video that continues the staticky VHS aesthetic and cultish imagery from the album's teaser campaign. The Scottish electronic duo, comprising brothers Mike Sandison and Marcus Eoin, will host seven Inferno Sessions premiere parties across Tokyo, Berlin, Barcelona, London, Glasgow, New York, and Los Angeles on May 22, before the album's official release on May 29 via Warp Records.
