"contemplates formative moments from his past, sometimes trying to resolve them, and other times looking for clues about his current-day outlook."
"captures one of music's most adventurous, collaborative, and accomplished artists at the top of his game."
"10th grade party at the Indigo Park Pool in Williamsburg, Virginia, when a 'great big entrance' went awry."
"It's just an old bastard, looking back. To be honest, I've found a way, a path to grow old gracefully, with help from some newborn friends of mine."
Indigo Park will be released April 3 via Zappo/Thirty Tiger and contains ten tracks featuring guests Ezra Koenig, Bonnie Raitt, Blake Mills, and the late Bob Weir. Robert Hunter co-wrote two songs, "Alabama" and "Might As Well Be Me, Florind." Recording began in 2024 following four albums released between 2019 and 2024. The record contemplates formative moments from Hornsby's past and seeks clues about his present outlook, with a contemplative title track reflecting on a 10th-grade party at the Indigo Park Pool. Hornsby released the title track and will support the album with a North American tour in April through June.
