Lil Nas X 'in treatment' after prison release
"is allowed to remain out of state as long as he remains in treatment,"
"treatment changes, and he becomes outpatient, then we'll talk,"
"Obviously, you heard the treatment word. We're doing what is best for Montero from a personal standpoint and a professional standpoint, but most importantly for his well-being. He is surrounded by an amazing family, an amazing team of people that care about him and love him. We're just addressing those issues. It's really as simple as that. He's had a great life, he'll continue to have a great life. This is a bump that he's gonna get over."
Rapper Lil Nas X pleaded not guilty to four felony charges, including three counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer. Police arrested him after he was filmed walking along Ventura Boulevard in white underwear and cowboy boots and allegedly charged at responding officers. He was taken to hospital and released on bail the following day. A judge ordered him to attend four Narcotics Anonymous meetings per week. Lawyers confirmed he is in treatment out of state and the judge allowed him to remain there while in treatment. The next hearing is set for 18 November and the type of care is sealed from the public.
