Jose and Josue Trejo Lopez, two brothers from El Salvador, were deported after nearly a decade in the U.S. Pursuing asylum and education, they faced a sudden immigration check where they were detained. With no family in El Salvador and childhood dreams shattered, the brothers plead for mercy to return. Their mother argues their good character, emphasizing their law-abiding nature and yearning for family reunification. An appeal for special status is pending, highlighting their dire situation after enduring inhumane treatment during deportation.
I think it is inhumane to have somebody in shackles sitting down for hours, not letting them use the bathroom, not letting them eat.
We are not a threat to the country. We are not criminals. We are Christians. We have basically respect every single law.
I ask that they may please another opportunity to return to this country because they are good people. They have no records.
This is the only home that they know... to treat them in such an inhumane and cruel manner and then to remove them while they have relief pending is really a disgrace.
