"He's a temporary, he's expendable, he's temporary. Who's Mamdani? Nah. He's total nonsense. He's an embarrassment and total nonsense. Not my mayor. All Democrats, no, waste of human race."
"Police officials said Wilson's remarks triggered a disciplinary process because department rules prohibit officers from publicly expressing political opinions while on duty. It was Captain Wilson's comments about Democrats that led to the disciplinary action, a police spokesman said."
Captain James G. Wilson, 51, was transferred from his position as executive officer of the 94th Precinct in Greenpoint, Brooklyn to the department's communications division following a video incident. The video, recorded Saturday night near Wyckoff Heights Medical Center during an immigration enforcement operation, captured Wilson making derogatory comments about Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Democrats while on duty. In the footage, Wilson called the mayor an embarrassment and total nonsense, and later stated all Democrats were a waste of human race. NYPD officials stated the reassignment resulted from Wilson's violation of department rules prohibiting officers from publicly expressing political opinions while performing official duties.
