Briefly

In season three, Carrie Bradshaw relocates from her Upper East Side apartment to a historic townhouse at 3 Gramercy Park West, built in 1846. The property, with nine units and four stories, was sold in 2019 for $4.495 million. It has housed notable residents, including educator Benjamin Franklin Lee and actress Martha Sleeper. In 1939, architect Eugene Schoen converted it into small apartments. The exterior remains unchanged despite interior alterations, with another townhouse next door, associated with Bob Dylan's album cover and former New York City mayor James Harper.
Eugene Schoen purchased the townhouse from the Netherland Club in 1939, stating that it would be converted into small apartments. 'One and two-room kitchen and kitchenette apartments will be made out of the old building,' explained Schoen.
3 Gramercy Park West was constructed in 1846 and includes nine units across four stories. Notable residents have included author Martha Sleeper and journalist Elizabeth Jordan.
