A Connecticut estate where Mariah Carey lived for almost two years has been listed for $12.4 million. Initially priced at $13.9 million, the listing was reduced after struggling to sell. Celebrity agent Ryan Serhant has increased interest in the property through a YouTube tour. The 12-bedroom, 12.5-bathroom home, known as Orchard's End, features 18,000 square feet on 6.26 acres. The impressive design by architect William B. Tubby is highlighted, and it's claimed to cost $40 million to rebuild today.
The sprawling New Canaan abode where Carey lived for nearly two years initially hit the market on March 28 for $13.9 million, but that price was dropped by more than $1 million on June 1.
The home is so impressive that a local architect even told the two real estate pros that it would cost '$40 million' to rebuild today.
Carey rented the gorgeous dwelling, which is nicknamed Orchard's End, for an eye-watering $75,000 a month for nearly two years.
Built in 1929, the home boasts 'gorgeous woodwork, custom plaster ceiling moldings,' according to Serhant and Malloy.
