"I can't really go into further detail,"
"I just want to apologize for just being a distraction. I want to take full accountability."
"Going to a funeral for a friend that's passing, having that incident, that's something that he has to deal with,"
"We can all be here to support him."
Brandon Williams apologized for being a distraction after he was arrested on a marijuana possession charge. He declined to provide further detail and said he wanted to take full accountability. Less than two ounces of marijuana were found in his luggage at DFW International Airport on Saturday, and the arrest caused him to miss Dallas' two previous games. Williams returned to play and scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds off the bench in the Mavericks' 107-105 win over Indiana. Coach Jason Kidd noted that Williams was going to a funeral for a friend and said the team can support him.
