Love outduels Rodgers as Pack tout 'the successor'
"He's the up-and-coming. Like J-Love, talking about when I was coming here, I was like, 'I know they've got a quarterback, I know I've got a quarterback.' I'm just so proud of him, everything he's been through, how he's developed as a player, how he's developed as a person, and he's just playing some really good football right now."
"He's him. Everybody in the league, if y'all not woke, please wake up. Get the crust out your eyes because he is him, and 10 is coming. Period."
Jordan Love completed 20 straight passes and finished 29-of-37 for 360 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in a 35-25 win in Pittsburgh. The Packers trailed 16-7 at halftime before Love's streak and passing surge turned the game. The streak nearly doubled his previous consecutive-completion mark and approached Aaron Rodgers' 22 straight completions over two games in 2022. Love produced the sixth instance by a Packers quarterback of a 75%+ completion game with at least 350 yards and three touchdowns. Teammates praised Love's development, readiness and on-field performance.
