Earlier in the road trip, Jake Allen and Markström combined for -6.53 goals above expected across two games. Dawson Mercer scored two shorthanded goals to spark the offense. The penalty kill, previously hampered by the losses of Johnathan Kovacevic, Cody Glass and Brett Pesce, showed improvement on the trip.
