Be A Pro Mode requires players to progress from rookie to superstar while navigating storylines and player choices. New cinematic cutscenes capture draft moments, tunnel walks onto the ice, and locker-room Stanley Cup celebrations with professional voice acting. Off-ice challenges include post-match media interactions that grant temporary buffs for positive responses or impose debuffs after poor performances. Repeated poor play can lead to demotion to the AHL. The story flow is now chapter-based, beginning in the World Juniors semi-finals. Performance in the World Juniors and character creation determine NHL Draft position and heavily influence subsequent story paths. NHL 26 launches Sept. 12, 2025 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
